Second Suspect Arrested in Las Vegas Restaurant Bombing Case

Second Arrest in Connection with Las Vegas Restaurant Explosion
Authorities in Las Vegas have apprehended a second individual related to the bombing incident that took place outside a popular local eatery, Piero 69s Italian Cuisine, near the Strip. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department detained a 52-year-old male, known as R.S., who is now held at the Clark County Detention Center. He faces numerous charges including conspiracy to commit arson, first-degree arson, and the use of an explosive device to cause property damage.
Unclear Motives Behind the Explosion
The investigation is ongoing following an early morning bombing on November 13, 2025. Police responded to emergency calls reporting a blast at the restaurant located on Convention Center Drive. Investigators determined that an incendiary device was placed outside the main entrance, which caught fire and eventually exploded.
Security camera footage and witness statements played a crucial role in piecing together events. Reports indicate that two men arrived at the scene during the early hours, one of whom used a scooter. The duo appears to have planted the explosive device before leaving the area promptly. Although the explosion caused visible damage to the establishment’s exterior, no injuries were reported.
The first individual apprehended in connection with this case was a 35-year-old named J.N., arrested shortly after the incident. He faces charges that include possession and manufacture of explosive materials as well as arson. The recent arrest of R.S. suggests that the crime was a planned effort, but authorities have not yet revealed any motives behind the attack.
Background and History of Piero 69s Italian Cuisine
Sheriff Kevin McMahill has assured the public that there is no ongoing threat, characterizing the explosion as a standalone event. Despite this, questions linger about why the restaurant was targeted. Investigations continue, with the possibility of further arrests still open.
Earlier this year, the restaurant was involved in a separate incident when Evan Glusman, the owner 69s son, was arrested for allegedly sending threatening messages to an employee. This confrontation was reportedly linked to a private family loan dispute and is unrelated to the bombing.
Though Piero 69s Italian Cuisine is well-known as a respected dining establishment in Las Vegas, it has had a complex past. Historically, its previous location was associated with individuals connected to organized crime. Despite these associations, the restaurant remains a prominent fixture in the city, popular among tourists, business professionals, and long-term residents alike.
