Racecourse Media Group Announces Chair Conor Grant’s Upcoming Departure

Conor Grant to Step Down as Chair of Racecourse Media Group
Racecourse Media Group (RMG), which represents 37 racecourse shareholders across the United Kingdom, has announced that its chairman, Conor Grant, will be leaving his position. Grant attributed his decision to increasing professional commitments and frequent travel to the United States.
Grant’s Tenure and Departure Timeline
On April 17, RMG revealed that Conor Grant, who has been part of the organization for three years, will complete his term and step down at the end of 2026. This marks the conclusion of his initial tenure as chair.
Grant initially joined RMG in April 2023 as a non-executive director before quickly advancing to chair by year’s end due to his outstanding leadership qualities.
During his chairmanship, Grant helped the group navigate through economic challenges and difficulties within the UK media, gambling, and horse racing industries.
He believes concluding his role at the end of his first term is the right moment to focus on his expanding work responsibilities and commitments abroad.
Reflections on Leadership and Future Outlook
Grant expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve as chairman, praising the significant progress made under CEO Nick Mills and the management team. He highlighted how the organization has sharpened its strategic approach and strengthened its leadership base.
He also acknowledged the unwavering support from RMG’s shareholders and board members, appreciating their confidence in his guidance.
Grant stated, “RMG is in a strong position with real momentum, and I am confident the business will continue to go from strength to strength in its next phase.”

Nick Mills, the CEO of RMG, thanked Grant for his dedicated service and emphasized his key role in enhancing the group’s development and securing its future success.
Mills offered his sincere gratitude and best wishes as Grant prepares to transition out of his role.
