Scott Schuman’s Vision and Background

Expressing enthusiasm on his new role, Schuman mentioned his excitement about joining Mohegan and embracing an expanded position in a fresh industry. Prior to this, he served as the Vice President and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis at IMAX Corporation, a company known for its immersive cinema technology. Reflecting on his departure from IMAX, Schuman acknowledged the valuable experiences gained over more than eight years and looked forward to the opportunities ahead with Mohegan.

Key Responsibilities and Strategic Importance

In his new capacity, Schuman will oversee critical corporate finance functions such as financial planning and analysis, treasury, capital markets, investor relations, and strategic planning.

Ari Glazer, Mohegan’s Chief Financial Officer, highlighted the significance of Schuman’s appointment, noting that he joins the company at an important juncture. Professional Experience and Educational Qualifications

Before his tenure at IMAX, Schuman held senior financial roles at NBCUniversal and Samsung Electronics America. At NBCUniversal, from late 2014 to 2017, he managed financial evaluations for major projects and secured vital cost-saving agreements. During his time at Samsung, he directed financial forecasting for products generating annual sales around $12 billion and led the e-commerce financial strategy.

Schuman’s earlier career includes positions as a senior financial analyst in Johnson & Johnson’s MBA leadership program, a financial strategy associate at Unilever, and a senior accountant at Ernst & Young.

Academically, Schuman holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University.
