Wynn Resorts Announces New Macau Hotel Project Amid High Occupancy Rates

Wynn Resorts Plans Expansion in Macau
Wynn Resorts has revealed its plans to build a new hotel in Macau, driven by the strong occupancy performance of its current property in Cotai. The upcoming hotel, named The Enclave, will add 432 rooms and is slated for completion by early 2029.
Details of The Enclave Hotel
The Enclave will be an extension of the Wynn Palace integrated resort in the Cotai area, designed to increase the resort’s capacity and accommodate a larger number of visitors. This addition will raise the total room count at Wynn Palace by 25% and enhance suites availability by 50%. The new structure will be situated adjacent to the east entrance of the existing Wynn Palace complex.
Construction is expected to commence later this year, with an estimated investment between $900 million and $950 million. Wynn Resorts aims to open the new hotel in early 2029, enhancing its hospitality offerings in the competitive Macau market.
Strategic Move Based on Strong Demand
The decision to develop The Enclave is a direct response to the high demand reflected by Wynn Palace’s occupancy rates, which reached 99.1% in the first quarter of 2026. Wynn Resorts’ CEO, Craig Billings, emphasized that this expansion is not a speculative gamble but a strategic move to meet existing customer demand.
Billings highlighted that the project is anticipated to generate approximately $400 million in additional annual revenue and contribute $150 to $175 million in incremental adjusted EBITDA. The new hotel will focus primarily on accommodations with fewer non-revenue generating amenities, relying on its close location to the Wynn Palace to ensure strong operational performance.
Overall, the Wynn leadership views this new development as an obvious and advantageous step for the company’s growth.
