The Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force recently served 21 search warrants connected to an investigation into suspected organized crime and money laundering involving illegal gambling establishments in the Houston, Texas area. This coordinated effort was aimed at dismantling ongoing unauthorized gambling activities throughout Houston and neighboring communities.

  • Rusty’s – 228 Lake Road, La Marque, Texas
  • Purple Building – 1002 Main Street, La Marque, Texas
  • Double Diamond – 116 State Highway 3, La Marque, Texas
  • 24/7 – 22430 W. Highway 6, Alvin, Texas

Additional Search Locations Connected to Investigation

Besides these gaming establishments, authorities also executed search warrants at other sites linked to the case. In Fort Bend County, two warrants were served at 202 Industrial Boulevard, Suite 806, and at a property on the 5200 block of Kendall Ridge Lane in Sugar Land. These locations included a residence associated with the owner of the Gold Chest venue and a warehouse suspected of storing and distributing illegal gambling machines.

As part of a financial investigation, law enforcement officials served 12 additional search warrants at various financial institutions to obtain records and documentation pertinent to the suspected illegal gambling network.

The operation involved multiple agencies including the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes and Crime Scene Units, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, Galveston Police Department, League City Police Department, and the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office. Investigators maintained a presence at multiple sites as the inquiry continues.
