Pennsylvania Casino Parx Shippensburg to Introduce Live Dealer Table Games

Parx Casino Shippensburg to Launch Live Dealer Tables
Parx Casino Shippensburg, previously known for operating solely with electronic table games, is set to introduce live dealer-run tables following successful regulatory testing. This move aims to enhance the casino’s offerings and improve its competitive standing within Pennsylvania.
Background: Struggles in Table Game Revenue
The casino experienced a challenging year in 2025, recording the lowest table game revenue among Pennsylvania casinos. According to data overseen by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, Parx Shippensburg’s electronic-only model resulted in limited earnings from table games.
In 2024, the casino generated $873,904 from table games, whereas in 2025, the figure dropped by 32.21% to $592,417.
Soft and Grand Launch Dates for Live Tables
Before fully implementing the live dealer tables, Parx Shippensburg is planning a soft launch on January 30, 2026. The official grand opening for these new tables is scheduled for February 6, 2026.
The introduction of 12 traditional live tables will allow players to enjoy games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold ’em, and Three Card Poker.
Current Operations at Parx Shippensburg
Until now, the casino’s table games have been exclusively electronic, with players using terminals to place bets on games involving real cards and roulette wheels. This unique approach, unlike other Pennsylvania casinos, has contributed to the casino’s lower table game revenues.
Comparing Table Game Performance Among Pennsylvania Casinos
Nemacolin’s The Casino, the second-lowest earner in 2025, generated nearly $2.7 million from table games, significantly outperforming Parx Shippensburg. Despite having only about 26 live tables, it achieved a 10.85% growth rate compared to Parx’s all-electronic 48 tables.
While both casinos have similar numbers of slot machines, Parx Shippensburg excelled in slot revenue, earning $38.3 million—approximately 1.5 times the $25.5 million generated by Nemacolin’s The Casino.
