Manatee County Sheriff Cracks Down on Illegal Gambling with New Bust

Manatee County Shuts Down Illegal Gambling Operation
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office recently carried out a successful operation targeting an illegal gambling venue operating out of a storefront in Bradenton.
Details of the Raid and Seizures
Following an intensive week-long investigation, law enforcement executed a search warrant on July 17, 2026, at a location on the 4300 block of 26th Street West. The raid led to the seizure of $23,000 in cash, 34 illegal gambling machines, and 89 computers loaded with gambling software.
Arrest and Charges
During the raid, 21-year-old Keylin Reyes Escobar was arrested. She faces charges of obstruction and acting as an agent or employee for an illegal gambling house. Escobar initially attempted to escape through a rear exit but was quickly apprehended by the officers.
Ongoing Crackdown on Illegal Gambling
This recent bust is part of continued efforts by local authorities and state regulators to combat illegal gambling activities. Earlier in May, a similar operation resulted in the confiscation of 265 gambling machines and over $120,000 in cash, in cooperation with the Florida Gaming Control Commission.
