Stake Enters Denmark with License to Operate for Five Years

Stake, an online betting company, has officially extended its operations to Denmark, marking a significant milestone in its international expansion.

Five-Year License for Online Casino and Sports Betting

The company has obtained a five-year license that permits it to offer both online casino gaming and sports betting within Denmark, a country recognized for its highly regulated and mature gambling market in Europe.

Stake plans to launch its complete Stake.dk platform tailored for Danish players. This will include casino games, a sportsbook, and the underlying technology, combining its global offerings with local market adaptation.

In addition to its online presence, Stake will establish a physical office starting March 1, 2026. The new headquarters will be located in Parken Stadium, Copenhagen, the venue known for hosting FC Copenhagen and Denmark’s national football matches.

A World-Class Experience with Local Focus

Peter Eugen Clausen, Managing Director of Stake Denmark, highlighted the appeal of Denmark’s competitive and well-regulated gaming landscape. He emphasized that Danish players can anticipate a fresh and world-class gaming experience supported by Stake’s global scale and strong commitment to the local market.

Clausen also expressed the company’s intention to elevate standards in product quality, transparency, and entertainment. According to him, the entrance of brands like Stake will positively stimulate competition and drive the Danish market forward.

Strategic Entry into the Nordic Market

Brais Pena, Chief Strategy Officer at Easygo—the technology firm behind Stake—remarked that entering Denmark signifies their first step into the Nordic region. He described Denmark as a key win in one of Europe’s most developed and valuable gambling markets and noted the company’s growing momentum in its global expansion efforts.

Since its launch in 2017, Stake has rapidly developed a worldwide customer base. Its entry into Denmark aligns with its strategic focus on entering regulated markets, moving away from operating solely in less regulated jurisdictions.

Commitment to Responsible Gambling

As part of its launch strategy, Stake will introduce tools designed to support responsible gambling. These features aim to help players monitor their activity and maintain control over their gaming behavior, reinforcing Stake’s commitment to player protection and sustainable gaming practices.
