FanDuel Increases Support to Win for America Super PAC by $7.5 Million
Irish-owned gambling operator FanDuel has recently escalated its financial backing of a political action committee, investing an additional $7.5 million in the Win for America Super PAC. This move emerges ahead of the upcoming midterm elections in the United States.
FanDuel’s Growing Political Contributions
Based on the latest disclosures from the US Federal Election Commission, FanDuel, a part of the Ireland-based Flutter Entertainment group, has now contributed a cumulative total of $27 million to the Win for America Super PAC. Earlier this year, from January to March, FanDuel donated $19.5 million, with recent payments of $3.5 million on May 1 and $4 million on May 26 adding to that amount.
This financial involvement coincides with FanDuel’s notable expansion in the US market. Flutter Entertainment’s CEO, Peter Jackson, projects that FanDuel will generate approximately $7.8 billion in revenue this year, along with adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) close to $1.05 billion. These figures mark an increase from the previous year’s revenue of $6.97 billion and EBITDA of $920 million.
Purpose and Allocation of Win for America Funds
Win for America advocates on behalf of gambling firms by supporting congressional candidates who favor moderate regulatory frameworks for the industry. Unlike standard campaign committees, Super PACs like Win for America can accept unlimited donations but are barred from directly contributing to federal candidates.
Instead, they influence elections by financing advertising efforts that promote or oppose certain candidates and policy positions. To date, Win for America has allocated over $68 million received from gambling entities including Bet365, DraftKings, and Fanatics Betting and Gaming.
The majority of these funds—about $50.1 million—have been funneled to the American Conservative Fund, a political committee dedicated to electing conservative candidates nationwide to counteract what it terms the “Radical Left.”
However, Win for America’s support is not limited to conservative groups; it has also directed approximately $16 million to American Future, a Democratic PAC based in Dallas.
