Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino Launches New Smoke-Free Gaming Space
Introduction of a Smoke-Free Gaming Area
The Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians has recently expanded its gaming options at the Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino by introducing a new smoke-free venue. This addition, known as the Acorn Casino, is designed as a separate area within the resort, providing guests a smoke-free environment for gaming.
A New Dedicated Smoke-Free Section
The Acorn Casino represents the largest non-smoking gaming section at the Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, located in California. Spanning approximately 6,000 square feet, it responds to a rising preference among patrons for smoke-free entertainment options.
With the launch of this new space, the overall gaming capacity of the resort now includes 2,000 slot machines and 45 gaming tables, offering a broader range of experiences for visitors.
Deann Kamalani, chairperson of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians’ tribal council, expressed pride in developing the Acorn Casino. She emphasized that the venue was created based on the preferences and demands of their customers, aiming to enhance the gaming experience.
Expansion Trends Among Tribal Casinos
Apart from Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino’s new smoke-free venue, several other tribal gaming enterprises are undergoing significant expansions. For example, the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe in Texas is advancing plans to develop a major casino resort in Leggett, broadening their existing facility into a top-tier hospitality destination.
Similarly, the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is investing around $140 million to extend and modernize their Choctaw Casino & Resort located in Pocola, enhancing their gaming and hospitality offerings.
In addition, the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation is actively involved in legal efforts to challenge Kansas Lottery operations on its land, aiming to protect its gaming interests.
