Charges have been filed against a 74-year-old woman accused of plowing into several people in the parking lot of a Parma Heights community center in August that killed two.
Donna Chidsey is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide for the deaths of Kathleen McDonald and Nancy Gielas, according to Det. Sgt. Steve Scharschmidt of the Parma Heights Police Department.
Chidsey was leaving a senior citizen concert on Aug. 21 at the Greenbriar Commons recreation center when she accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake as she was pulling out of her parking space, police have said. The crash was caught on surveillance video.
Nine people were injured at the time of the crash. McDonald, 61, of Parma, died two days after the crash. Gielas, 68, died in September, more than a month after the crash.
