One of the people who was injured when a car slammed into a crowd in Parma Heights over the weekend has died.

According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner, 61-year-old Kathleen McDonald of Parma died on Tuesday.

McDonald was one of nine people injured when a car backed into a crowd of people at an outdoor concert on Sunday at Greenbriar Commons off Pearl Road.

Police said a 74-year-old woman who was leaving the community concert for senior citizens accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake as she was pulling out of her parking space.

Six people were taken to area hospitals, two of them with serious injuries. Three others were treated at the scene.

Police have not yet said whether charges will be filed. Investigators initially said it appeared to be an accident.
