Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will continue to build support in Ohio with a visit to Akron on Monday.

Clinton will appear at the Goodyear Hall and Theater on East Market Street at 5:45 p.m. Among her talking points are her plans to build an equitable economy and a rallying cry for Ohioans to register to vote and partake in the state's early voting process.

Clinton's visit comes about a week before Ohio's voter registration deadline, October 11, and early voting kicks off statewide on October 12. At the Akron event, Clinton will bolster the voter registration efforts of organizers in the Rubber City by reminding voters they only have a few days left to register.

Before appearing at the voter registration event in Akron, Clinton will give a speech in Toledo that will "lay out her plans to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top," according to a statement from the campaign.

The decisive swing state has been a point of focus for both Clinton and Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee. Trump was present in Willmington, Ohio for a rally on Thursday, Sept. 29.

In late September, both Mike Pence, Trump's vice presidential nominee, and former President Bill Clinton were in Ohio to shore up support for their respective presidential nominees.

Clinton has called upon Democratic Party heavyweights to galvanize support in the swing state. President Barack Obama is slated to speak at the party's annual State Dinner in Columbus in October.

Senator Bernie Sanders, once a fierce rival of Clinton's, recently spoke at two Ohio colleges and urged the state's young voters to ensure her path to the presidency.
