York Hollywood Casino Live Dealer Under Investigation for Alleged Chip Theft

Working as a live dealer at a casino is often considered a desirable job. Casinos typically provide training at their expense, offer decent wages, and allow dealers to earn substantial tips through excellent customer service.
However, not everyone abides by the rules. E.S., a 42-year-old from Paradise, Pennsylvania, who worked as a Senior Table Games Dealer, is now suspected of illegally taking thousands of dollars in casino chips by abusing his trusted role.
Live Dealer Exposed After a Single Chip is Discovered
A criminal complaint filed on August 7, 2025, revealed that suspicion arose when a single casino chip was found in an unusual location within the casino—an area where such chips should not be present unless brought by someone with special access.
This discovery triggered an internal investigation. The casino’s management, along with an employee who suspected E.S., reviewed security footage and directly confronted him, though he denied any involvement. However, the recordings showed E.S. breaking standard live dealer procedures, which require dealers to “wipe” their hands visibly to prove they are not concealing anything. Instead, E.S. was seen showing only one hand while clenching the other into a fist and then motioning toward his pocket.
Authorities Trace the Theft Back to the Dealer
Further examination of footage from the preceding month suggested that E.S. may have stolen chips valued at nearly $7,875. He has since been terminated and is currently held at York County Prison on a $5,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 22, 2025.
This incident is not isolated; over the years, there have been multiple cases of casino employees succumbing to temptation and unlawfully taking chips, hoping to go unnoticed.
