xQc’s Perspective on Mizkif’s Partnership with Stake

Recently, popular streamer xQc was asked about his take on fellow streamer Mizkif’s decision to join forces with the gambling platform Stake. Instead of sharing his viewpoint directly, xQc chose to offer his thoughts as a “gift” to another streamer, Trainwrecks.

Trainwrecks’ Criticism of Streamer Hypocrisy

Trainwrecks has become known for his outspoken criticisms of other streamers, often accusing them of hypocrisy and inconsistency, especially when reacting to public opinion. He has particularly targeted streamers like Mizkif, Pokimane, and HasanAbi, who were involved in a 2022 boycott against Twitch to oppose online gambling on the platform.

While the boycott led to Twitch enforcing a ban on certain gambling content, many types of online gambling remained accessible, which prompted Trainwrecks to announce plans to create his own alternative platform.

Mizkif’s Conflicting Stance on Gambling Deals

Earlier reports indicated that Mizkif had declined a lucrative $35,000-per-hour offer from Stake. As a prominent figure who joined the Twitch boycott in 2022, few expected him to change his position. Past clips from that year show Mizkif criticizing Stake and those who accepted sponsorships from the site.

However, just last week, Mizkif revealed a new partnership with Stake, appearing in a video using the platform. The financial details of this agreement have not been publicly disclosed, leaving fans to speculate.

Streaming Gambling’s Popularity Trends

Analytics reveal that in 2022, the “slots” category on Twitch attracted peak concurrent viewership surpassing 280,000 viewers. Although interest dipped after that year, a steady audience has remained engaged.

Currently, approximately 30,000 viewers per month continue to watch streams featuring online casino gambling, reflecting consistent but reduced enthusiasm in this niche.
