Wynn Resorts Partners with IGY Marinas and MSI for Al Marjan Marina Project
Wynn Resorts has chosen IGY Marinas, a renowned global leader in top-tier marina destinations, along with Marina Solutions International (MSI), to lead the design, development, management, and marketing efforts for the upcoming Al Marjan Island Marina in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
A Key Collaboration Aiming to Elevate Yacht and Leisure Experiences
Steve English, CEO of IGY Marinas, highlighted that being involved in the Wynn Al Marjan Island project is a major milestone, reflecting their expansion into the Middle Eastern marina sector. He emphasized the commitment to establish Al Marjan as a premier destination for yachting and luxury leisure.
The Wynn Al Marjan Island resort will feature 1,530 lavish rooms and suites, complemented by extensive entertainment and recreational amenities. As part of this vision, IGY Marinas will oversee operations for a state-of-the-art marina designed to accommodate both leisure boats and superyachts, offering exemplary services to visitors. This development is a vital element of Wynn Resorts’ expanding presence in the Middle East, attracting growing investor interest.
James Beaver, Director at Marina Solutions International, shared that MSI has been deeply engaged in the project since 2022, providing extensive studies, market positioning strategies, detailed and conceptual designs, as well as operational advice. Beaver expressed pride in supporting Wynn Resorts and in facilitating IGY’s appointment as the marina operator. He views the marina as a significant opportunity for Ras Al Khaimah to emerge as a leading yachting hub, anticipating its successful long-term impact.
Overview of the Groundbreaking Al Marjan Island Resort and Marina
Wynn Al Marjan Island is poised to become the UAE’s first integrated resort featuring such luxury combined with an elite marina. Set to open in 2027 in Ras Al Khaimah, just a short 50-minute drive from Dubai International Airport, the project is a collaboration between Wynn Resorts, Marjan, and RAK Hospitality Holding. Its goal is to set new standards for luxury in the region.
The marina will feature 101 berths, accommodating yachts up to 85 meters (280 feet), perfectly suited for superyachts and other premium vessels. It will incorporate the latest berthing technology and provide high-end marine services to fulfill the growing demand for upscale waterfront experiences. Surrounding amenities will include multiple pools, water features, private cabanas, tropical gardens, a luxury spa, and an exclusive salon.
This marina is expected to significantly enhance Ras Al Khaimah’s appeal, complementing its stunning coastline and rich cultural landscape, solidifying its status as a rising star among the UAE’s tourism destinations.
