US Gambling Regulators Target Offshore Gambling Operators

Regulatory authorities across the United States are ramping up efforts to combat offshore gambling operations that infringe on domestic markets and reduce tax revenues. Recent actions highlight the growing determination to enforce gambling laws and protect state gaming industries.

Michigan Blocks Multiple Unlicensed Gambling Websites

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has taken decisive steps by issuing cease-and-desist orders to 15 unlicensed online gambling operators. These websites were found to violate important state laws, including the Michigan Penal Code, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and the Lawful Internet Gaming Act.

The affected casinos include 7 Bit Casino, Avia Games Inc., Grande Vegas Casino, High Country Casino, i Net Bet, Liberty Slots Casino, Lincoln Casino, Lucky Hippo Casino, Miami Club Casino, PrimaPlay Casino, Slot Madness, Slots Plus Casino, Sun Palace Casino, Vegas Casino Online, and Vegas2Web Casino. They have been instructed to cease operations within Michigan within 14 days, or face further legal action involving the state attorney general.

Arizona Increases Enforcement Against Illegal Gambling Platforms

Similarly, the Arizona Department of Gaming has targeted four platforms—Fliff, Thrillzz, BettySweeps Casino, and Pulsz Casino—citing violations of state gambling regulations. These platforms were involved in offering services ranging from sports betting to sweepstakes contests.

Both Michigan and Arizona are actively working to reduce gambling-related harm by shutting down unauthorized operators. These crackdowns come amid calls from attorneys general across the country for stricter controls on offshore gambling. Michigan has notably blocked over 130 such websites to date, demonstrating its commitment to firm enforcement.
