The AAA estimates that over 1.6 million additional travelers will take trips of 50 miles or more compared to last year.

AAA, a leading nonprofit travel organization in the U.S., explains that Thanksgiving increasingly serves as a prime opportunity for long-distance family reunions. Hotels along the famous Strip are reporting booking levels that are once again nearing those seen before the pandemic, with many expecting full occupancy from Wednesday through Saturday of the holiday week.
That said, Las Vegas has faced a slight decline in visitors recently, largely due to reduced attendance at midweek conventions. However, major events such as the Formula 1 Grand Prix, combined with the Thanksgiving influx, are anticipated to offset these losses. Local experts do caution, though, that the surge could place considerable strain on the city’s infrastructure.
