Hotel Raid and Visual Evidence Raise Suspicions
The investigation gained momentum after a photograph surfaced showing the Miss Philippines contestant with a pillow featuring the logo of an online casino. She was also accused on social media of endorsing the casino brand when she asked her followers if they were following the casino’s page.
Official Response from the Miss Universe Thailand Host Committee
The 74th Miss Universe Thailand Host Committee issued a statement addressing the controversy. They highlighted that one of the pageant’s sponsors had ties to online gambling, which is illegal in the country, and that this was done without full awareness of the legal implications.
Miss Grand International Public Company Limited emphasized their disapproval of using the platform for promoting prohibited gambling activities, insisting they were uninformed and not involved in the matter.
