Sports.com Media to Acquire Racing Women to Boost Women’s Presence in Motorsports

Introduction to the Acquisition
SEGG Media, a global leader in sports, entertainment, and gaming, announced that its subsidiary, Sports.com Media Group, plans to acquire Racing Women Limited. This organization is dedicated to supporting and empowering female drivers within the motorsports industry.
Details of the Deal
Sports.com Media Group has signed a letter of intent to buy all shares of Racing Women Limited. As part of this agreement, Sports.com Media will become the rights holder for Racing Women and take control of 51% ownership in a new company that will hold Racing Women’s assets, valued at $1 million.
The acquisition will integrate Racing Women’s intellectual property into SEGG Media’s broader motorsport initiatives, advancing the company’s goals for growth in this sector.
SEGG Media’s Motorsports Expansion
SEGG Media, known for brands such as Sports.com and Lottery.com, has been actively expanding its footprint in global motorsports. In 2025, the company sponsored several drivers in IndyCar and Indy NXT and made strategic investments in Veloce Media Group and Quadrant. By incorporating Racing Women into the Veloce ecosystem, SEGG Media aims to strengthen support for female racers.
The acquisition follows shortly after the first-ever Sports.com Nations Trophy held at Donington Park, featuring eight Racing Women competitors from seven countries. Austrian driver Jorden Dolischka won the event with 40 points, earning a sponsored drive in the Radical Gulf Cup opener in Abu Dhabi.
Reactions from Both Parties
Matthew McGahan, President, Chair, and CEO of SEGG Media, highlighted his confidence in Racing Women’s rapidly developing platform and the exceptional talent it nurtures.
He stated that welcoming Racing Women into SEGG Media not only adds value for shareholders but also places the Sports.com brand at the leading edge of women’s motorsport globally.
Graeme Glew, the founder of Racing Women and original creator of Formula Woman 24 years ago, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. Initially uncertain if the motorsport community was ready to embrace women competitors, Glew noted how the industry has evolved significantly.
He remarked that with growing momentum around women’s empowerment and STEM initiatives in motorsport, Sports.com is perfectly positioned to accelerate Racing Women’s development and inspire female engagement worldwide.
