South Florida Police Capture Serial Robber Linked to Las Vegas Casino Thefts

Capture of Dangerous Las Vegas Robbery Suspect by Miami Beach Police
The Miami Beach Police Department recently apprehended Dshante Styles, a 35-year-old man suspected of committing numerous robberies in Las Vegas. This arrest was the result of a coordinated effort involving the FBI and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, who shared critical information with Florida authorities to ensure his capture.
A History of Crime and Previous Arrests
Styles has an extensive criminal record, including outstanding warrants related to human trafficking and violent offenses. He has also faced charges for evading law enforcement. His criminal past has continuously posed risks to public safety.
Authorities acknowledged the importance of cooperation and advanced technology in securing his arrest. The Miami Beach Police highlighted their teamwork and swift action as key factors in removing this dangerous individual from the streets.
Earlier in 2023, Styles was connected to a series of robberies that took place in November of the previous year. Investigators matched DNA evidence found on a baseball cap left at the M Resort after one of the incidents, linking him to multiple casino robberies across Las Vegas.
Criminal Activities Spanning Multiple Casinos
Styles is suspected of targeting several well-known venues including the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino, Green Valley Ranch, Silverton Casino Hotel, Rampart Casino, and Palace Station. In his spree, he was also reported to have stolen vehicles to facilitate his criminal acts.
Initial Leniency Followed by Non-Compliance
While some victims described Styles as brandishing what appeared to be a firearm during the heists, he was not known to always use actual weapons to threaten individuals. Despite his extensive criminal history, Styles was granted parole in December 2023 under strict conditions, including house arrest, community service, sobriety, prohibition from firearm possession, and maintaining full-time employment.
Unfortunately, Styles violated the terms of his parole, which contributed to his subsequent re-arrest in Florida.
