Parions Sport En Ligne, a popular French betting platform, is set to rebrand as Unibet, signifying an exciting new phase for the operator. This change comes as a result of the takeover of Kindred, the parent company of Unibet, by the French gaming powerhouse FDJ.

Unified Experience for Bettors

Parions Sport has officially announced its upcoming change to the Unibet brand, aiming to offer players a broader range of betting options, including sports betting, horse racing, and online poker.

The transition is scheduled to be completed by the end of March. Existing users can continue enjoying their current services without interruption. Upon updating the app, it will automatically switch to Unibet, and users’ accounts will remain active provided they accept the updated Terms and Conditions.

User balances, game credits, active bets, and potential winnings will all remain intact during the transition. Players can simply log in with their current credentials and continue their gaming experience without disruption.

For individuals holding accounts on both Parions Sport En Ligne and Unibet, there will be an option to merge these accounts. This will consolidate any balances and bets into a single account for ease of access.

Additionally, existing responsible gaming settings, such as betting limits, will be maintained to ensure continued player protection.

It is important to note that the retail division, known as Parions Sport Point de Vente, will stay separate and will not be rebranded as Unibet.

FDJ’s Strategic Acquisition of Kindred Strengthens European Presence

The integration of Parions Sport En Ligne into the Unibet brand follows FDJ United’s acquisition of Kindred, finalized in 2024 for $2.64 billion. This landmark deal significantly expands FDJ’s footprint across Europe.

Following the acquisition, FDJ rebranded as FDJ United to better mirror its broadened international ambitions. The merging of Parions Sport En Ligne into Unibet aligns with this wider European strategy.

However, according to French regulations linked to the merger approval, the retail Parions Sport operations must remain distinct. Competitors within Kindred’s portfolio are required to avoid sharing logos with FDJ or Parions Sport Point de Vente, ensuring compliance with competitive fairness rules.
