New Casino and Renovated Bingo Hall in Ontario by Wauzhushk Onigum Nation

A new tribal casino is set to open in Ontario beside the well-established bingo hall operated by the Wauzhushk Onigum Nation. This development comes through a partnership with the local gaming company Gateway Casinos & Entertainment.

Details of the Casino Project and Bingo Hall Renovation

The Wauzhushk Onigum Nation plans to introduce a casino adjacent to the existing Golden Eagle Bingo Hall, which will also undergo significant renovations. This initiative has been in the works for several years as the tribe aims to update and expand the facilities.

The Golden Eagle Bingo Hall, once an ice hockey rink, requires substantial remodeling. The revamped building will feature two distinct sections sharing a common entrance: one area will continue to host bingo events for up to 400 patrons and accommodate community gatherings, while the other will be dedicated to the new casino.

Specific details about the casino’s games and capacity are yet to be announced. The upgraded bingo hall is expected to reopen in the latter half of 2026.
