Carl Ejlertsson, the founder of Octoplay, a company specializing in online casino games, has announced his decision to resign as CEO. Although he is stepping down from his executive role, Ejlertsson will continue to contribute to the company by focusing on its creative and strategic development.

In a recent LinkedIn update, Ejlertsson highlighted the significant progress Octoplay has made since its inception three years ago. The company has expanded from a small startup to an established player with over 15 licenses across Europe and North America and a collection of more than 200 games. This growth has positioned Octoplay for further expansion in both regions.

Recognizing the company’s evolving needs, Ejlertsson felt it was the appropriate time to hand over the CEO responsibilities. He emphasized that the next phase demands a leader fully dedicated to operational execution, scaling commercial efforts, and managing daily business functions.

Now, he plans to concentrate on areas where he feels most passionate and comfortable: guiding the creative and strategic vision of Octoplay.

Leadership Changes and New Appointments at Octoplay

Joining the company as the new CEO is Ralitsa Georgieva, who has already played a significant role in Octoplay’s development. Ejlertsson praised Georgieva’s leadership qualities, commercial insight, and integrity, expressing full confidence in her ability to steer the company forward.

Beyond this appointment, several other key leadership changes have been announced. Jack Bailey has been brought on as commercial director, Conor Leavey has been promoted from advisor to chief product officer, Martina Borg Stevens is now chief legal officer, and Nicola Vella has advanced to the role of chief finance officer.
