The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) released its latest report on the state’s gambling industry performance for June 2025. The data reveals a robust increase in total revenue, driven by strong showings across casino gaming, online iGaming, and sports betting sectors.

Casino Revenues Show Moderate Growth

Atlantic City’s nine casino properties collectively generated $259 million in gross gaming revenue for June 2025. This amount represents a 6.1% increase compared to $244.1 million reported for June 2024. Year-to-date, casino revenue reached $1.38 billion through June, marking a 1.7% rise compared to the same period last year.

iGaming Sector Achieves Exceptional Expansion

The online gaming segment delivered impressive results with total revenue of $230.7 million for June 2025. This figure is notable for its 23.5% growth versus the $186.8 million recorded in June 2024. Cumulatively, iGaming revenue rose to $1.39 billion year-to-date, reflecting a 22.7% increase compared to $1.13 billion over the prior year period. These strong numbers emphasize the rapidly growing potential within New Jersey’s online casino market.

Sports Betting Sees Monthly Gains Despite Yearly Decline

Sports betting, which includes casinos, racetracks, and partners, reported $91.9 million in gross revenue for June 2025. This represents a significant 52.9% surge compared to $60.1 million from June 2024. However, on a year-to-date basis, sports wagering revenue was $552 million, showing a 3.7% decrease relative to the $573.1 million recorded in the previous year-to-date timeframe.

Total Gaming Revenue Reflects Strong Annual Growth

Altogether, combined revenues from casinos, racetracks, and associated partners totaled $581.6 million in June 2025, marking an 18.4% increase over the $491 million generated in June 2024. Year-to-date figures reached $3.32 billion, up 8.5% from $3.06 billion in the previous year.

Tax Contributions from the Gaming Industry

The DGE reported that this total gaming revenue resulted in $62.8 million in gross revenue taxes for June 2025. Cumulatively, the industry has contributed $364.4 million in taxes to the state through June.
