Boomer’s Plans Rapid Expansion with New Tonopah Sportsbook

Boomer’s has experienced swift growth since its debut in August and is now aiming to further expand in Nevada by launching a kiosk sportsbook at the Mizpah Club in Tonopah. This mining town, positioned between Reno and Las Vegas, has had limited betting choices until now. Boomer’s sees this location as a strategic stopover for travelers and anticipates that the new sportsbook will offer both locals and tourists additional betting options beyond existing platforms.

If approved by regulators, this would mark Boomer’s sixth sportsbook location, potentially opening as early as December 19. The company has indicated to officials that their business has exceeded initial expectations and that expanding into Nevada’s rural areas fits their long-term growth strategy.

Ramsey Cline, owner of the Mizpah Club, selected Boomer’s after considering proposals from multiple operators. He noted that many casino owners expressed dissatisfaction with their current sportsbook partnerships. He appreciates Boomer’s cooperative approach, particularly in mobile betting services. Cline highlighted that Tonopah’s betting options are limited, with the local William Hill kiosk at the Banc Club operating on restricted hours. The area sees tourists mainly during summer and local bettors in the winter, many of whom prefer betting outside regular hours.

Caesars to Rebrand Four Regional Sportsbooks Under Unified Branding

Meanwhile, Caesars Entertainment is consolidating its presence in northern Nevada by rebranding four sportsbooks formerly operated by William Hill. These sportsbooks, located at Bodine’s in Carson City, Sharkey’s Casino in Gardnerville, the Carson Valley Inn, and Slotworld, will now operate under the Caesars Sportsbook banner. Of these locations, only the Carson Valley Inn will maintain on-site staff; the others will continue to operate kiosks.

The transition will allow customers greater convenience through access to the Caesars app, rewards program, and more streamlined financial transactions. Caesars representatives described this step as a natural evolution of their partnership with the property owners, assuring that staffing levels will remain unchanged. At the end of the year, the Carson Valley Inn will relinquish its racebook license as part of this transition.

Currently, Caesars manages approximately 100 sportsbooks previously under the William Hill brand throughout Nevada, along with over 20 venues already operating under the Caesars name.
