According to Captain Michael Van Meter, the victim encountered a group of individuals while gambling in the casino. During a visit to the restroom, one of those individuals followed the victim in, restrained him by wrapping a cord around his neck, and forcefully subdued him.

Following the assault, the suspect allegedly stole approximately $1,500 from the victim. Surveillance footage from the casino, along with the victim’s eyewitness testimony, played a crucial role in identifying the suspected assailant.
