Unexpected Troubles During a Casino Stay

Mark Charron, a visitor from Wisconsin, encountered a troubling experience during his stay at a casino in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. His intention was to enjoy a relaxing visit at the Silver Slipper Casino & Hotel, but his plans were disrupted by a confusing and stressful situation involving his camper trailer and the casino staff.

Misunderstanding Over a Camper Trailer

Charron had parked his truck and camper trailer in the casino’s rear parking area with permission. The next day, he cooperated with a hotel employee to relocate his vehicle to a different lot at the casino’s request. However, that same night, some hotel employees abruptly woke him up, demanding that he move a camper trailer that did not belong to him.

Despite explaining that he had already moved his camper and that the vehicle causing concern was not his, the staff insisted aggressively. Frustrated, Charron locked his door and returned to rest.

Involvement of Security and Police

Following the confrontation, security personnel and the police were called to the scene. The officers knocked on Charron’s door and ordered him to leave the property immediately, accusing him of trespassing. Charron tried to clarify that the camper trailer in question was not his, but the police eventually admitted that the actual issue was the casino wanting him to leave regardless. Reluctantly, he packed up and prepared to depart.

Arrest After Taking Photographs

Before leaving, Charron stopped to take pictures of the camper that had caused the confusion. This action led to his arrest on trespassing charges. Fortunately, the charges were dropped later, but the incident left a lasting impact on him.

Lawsuit Accusing the Casino of Bad Faith

Charron has taken legal action against the Silver Slipper Casino, claiming that the casino violated its contract and showed bad faith through the actions of its employees. He maintains that he was unfairly removed from the property despite complying with all rules and having paid for his stay.

The lawsuit seeks compensation and punitive damages for the distress and wrongful treatment he endured during the incident.
