New Leadership Roles Announced at MGM Resorts

MGM Resorts International, a leader in casino and hospitality, has recently announced significant changes to its executive leadership team. The company has promoted from within to fill critical roles including a new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) who will also serve as President of MGM Digital. These appointments are set to support MGM’s ongoing growth and innovation strategies.

Ayesha Molino Appointed as COO

Ayesha Molino, a long-standing MGM executive, has been named the new Chief Operating Officer, effective January 1, 2026. She will take over from Corey Sanders, who plans to retire at the end of 2025 after more than 30 years of dedicated service.

Molino brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having been with MGM Resorts since 2017. Her background also includes five years as legal counsel to former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Currently, she leads operations at MGM’s prestigious ARIA and Vdara properties in Las Vegas, overseeing all facets of these award-winning resorts. Beyond her operational responsibilities, Molino acts as MGM’s Chief Public Affairs Officer and holds board positions with MGM China Holdings, the American Hotel & Lodging Association, and key gaming industry groups.

Leadership Praise from CEO Bill Hornbuckle

Bill Hornbuckle, President and CEO of MGM Resorts, has praised Molino for her strategic acumen and leadership skills, highlighting her ability to navigate complex challenges effectively. He credited her guidance for the outstanding financial performance and record-breaking revenue achievements at the ARIA Resort & Casino. Hornbuckle expressed confidence that Molino is well-equipped to continue driving MGM’s success in her new role.

Gary Fritz to Lead as CCO and President of MGM Digital

In addition to Molino’s appointment, MGM has welcomed Gary Fritz as Chief Commercial Officer and President of MGM Digital, a position he assumes immediately. Fritz is a veteran MGM executive currently serving as President of MGM Resorts International Interactive and advising CEO Hornbuckle on strategic matters.

He also serves on the boards of popular gaming brands such as BetMGM and LeoVegas and has international corporate experience. Hornbuckle emphasized Fritz’s visionary leadership and deep industry insight, noting that Fritz’s new role will unify MGM’s Digital, Gaming, Marketing, and Advertising teams to enhance their omni-channel strategy and expand digital and iGaming growth. Fritz has been instrumental in advancing BetMGM’s presence in major markets, including Brazil.
