Major Renovation Completed at MGM Grand

MGM Resorts International has announced the completion of an extensive refurbishment of the rooms and suites at their iconic MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. This renovation introduced a fresh and modern hospitality experience, incorporating valuable feedback from guests to enhance comfort and style.

New Room Designs and Enhanced Amenities

The renovation transformed a total of 3,969 rooms and suites in the main tower, featuring sleek contemporary designs and an array of upscale amenities. Guests can now enjoy spa-style walk-in showers, illuminated closets, blackout curtains, minibars, USB charging ports, and smart televisions, creating a luxurious and convenient stay.

The MGM King rooms boast rich walnut finishes paired with vibrant carpeting, while the MGM Two Queen rooms feature subtle gray stone accents, vertical wall sconces, and elegant tailored headboards for a sophisticated atmosphere.

The refurbishment also increased the number of suites by 111, now totaling 753. These suites, ranging from 675 to 1,784 square feet, offer bright open layouts with carefully crafted finishes, cozy sectional seating, and improved floor plans designed for privacy and both work and relaxation spaces.

Design Inspiration and New Attractions

This $300 million remodeling was carried out in collaboration with renowned architecture firm Gensler alongside MGM Resorts Design & Development. The redesign draws inspiration from the glamorous disco era, reflected through LED installations and custom artworks that add a playful yet refined ambiance throughout the rooms and corridors.

Beyond the room upgrades, MGM Grand has introduced unique experiences including a new dining venue themed around popular television shows, an interactive attraction inspired by the beloved series FRIENDS, a day club hosted by DJ Kygo’s Palm Tree Crew, an immersive residency by the dance group Jabbawockeez, and updates to the menu at their contemporary Japanese restaurant, Morimoto.

A Significant Milestone for MGM Grand

Mike Neubecker, President and Chief Operating Officer of MGM Grand, expressed enthusiasm about the renovation, highlighting it as a bold step in the resort’s ongoing evolution. He emphasized that many of the enhancements stemmed directly from guest input to balance style, comfort, and practical needs for both leisure and business visitors.

This renovation marks an important development for MGM Grand, complementing its premium offerings in dining and entertainment, as guests can now book the newly redesigned rooms and enjoy everything the resort has to offer.
