Joseph Hillier Takes Leadership Role at iGaming Ontario

iGaming Ontario, the regulatory body managing the online casino and sportsbook industry in Ontario, Canada, announced the appointment of Joseph Hillier as its new president and CEO. He is set to begin his role on Monday, September 8, at a time when the local iGaming sector is expanding rapidly, facing increased activity from both domestic and offshore operators.

Extensive Experience in Gaming and Regulatory Affairs

Before stepping into his new role, Hillier served as the chief strategy officer and corporate secretary for the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. His background also includes working as chief of staff to Ontario’s Attorney General, Doug Downey, where he played a significant part in shaping the current framework of Ontario’s iGaming market.

Commitment to Strengthening Industry Oversight and Consumer Protection
