Experienced Leader Joins the Hong Kong Jockey Club
The Hong Kong Jockey Club has announced the appointment of Terecina Kwong as the new Executive Director of Membership and Customer Excellence (EDMCE). This strategic hire, effective from September 17, 2025, aims to strengthen the club’s leadership team and enhance its service offerings.
Extensive Expertise and Strong Educational Background
Terecina Kwong brings a vast range of experience in customer management, technology innovation, and operations from various international markets. Her impressive qualifications include an MBA from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia. Her previous role as Chief Operating Officer for HSBC International Wealth and Premier Banking underscores her capability in managing complex financial and customer-focused operations.
Direct Reporting and Key Responsibilities
In her new role, Kwong will report directly to the Club’s CEO, Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges. Her mandate includes leading the membership strategy to deliver outstanding lifestyle and culinary experiences tailored for club members. She will also spearhead initiatives to improve the overall customer experience to ensure it aligns with the highest standards.
Operational Oversight and Strategic Promotion
Kwong will oversee clubhouse and racecourse functions not only within Hong Kong but also across mainland China. Additionally, she is tasked with promoting the sport of horse racing by emphasizing its appeal to enthusiasts and expanding participation in the Racing Division’s horse ownership program.
Data Management and Governance Focus
A significant part of Kwong’s responsibilities will involve managing data strategy and governance. This encompasses handling owner, member, and customer information to support the club’s operational and strategic goals effectively.
