FDJ Announces Leadership Reshuffle and CFO Search

Introduction to FDJ’s Leadership Changes
FDJ United, a prominent European gaming and betting group, recently announced significant changes to its leadership team. Among the notable updates is the departure of Nils Andén, the chief online betting and gaming officer, and the launch of a search for a new chief financial officer (CFO).
Nils Andén’s Departure and Contributions
Nils Andén, who played a vital role in integrating Kindred into FDJ’s wider operations, has decided to pursue new career opportunities. Andén, who previously served as the CEO of Kindred, was instrumental during FDJ’s $2.64 billion acquisition of the company. After Kindred joined FDJ and the group rebranded as FDJ United, Andén took on the role of chief online betting and gaming officer within the expanded company.
New Appointments and CFO Search
Alongside Andén’s departure, FDJ United named Pascal Chaffard to take over the chief online betting and gaming officer position as well as the role of group strategy and operational officer. Chaffard, who formerly acted as CFO and strategy leader for the group, will now lead the online betting and gaming unit and oversee FDJ’s strategic operations and transformation efforts.
With Chaffard stepping into his new responsibilities, the CFO position at FDJ United is now open. The company has already begun the process of recruiting a successor and plans to announce the new appointment once the search is complete.
Celia Verot Joins as General Secretary
Additionally, FDJ United welcomed Celia Verot as its new general secretary. Verot, who joined FDJ in 2024 as chief regulatory officer, will continue to hold her regulatory role alongside her new responsibilities as general secretary.
