Ducky Bhai Speaks Out After Bail in Gambling and Money Laundering Case
Public Apology Following Release on Bail
Saad Rehman, widely recognized as Ducky Bhai in the Pakistani YouTube community, publicly addressed his fans and the nation after being granted bail in a case concerning gambling applications and allegations of money laundering. In a video shared on his channel, he clarified the nature of his content, responded to concerns surrounding his arrest, and offered an apology to anyone who felt hurt or misled by his videos.
Expressing Regret After Time in Custody
In his statement, Ducky Bhai made it clear that his video was not meant to contest the charges laid against him in the First Information Report. Instead, he extended a heartfelt apology to the public for any unintended negative consequences caused by his content. He stressed that his primary goal has always been to entertain and bring innovative ideas to his audience.
Ducky Bhai was detained on August 17, 2025, by officials from the NCCIA at Lahore Airport due to allegations that he was promoting gambling platforms through his YouTube channel. This legal case originated earlier that year. After spending approximately three and a half months in jail, he secured bail last month by fulfilling a court order that required a payment of PKR 1 million, equivalent to roughly $3,600.
Experiences During Detention
Reflecting on his arrest and the subsequent time in incarceration, Ducky Bhai described the event as unexpected and challenging for both him and his family. He recounted attending a family event on August 16 before getting ready for an overseas trip. However, he was unexpectedly taken into custody at the airport the next day and charged with involvement in gambling app promotion and allegations of money laundering.
Ducky Bhai also accused the NCCIA officials of physically assaulting him by slapping him multiple times and using abusive language. He claimed that an Additional Director called a young child to intimidate him verbally. Furthermore, he alleged that his wife Aroob had her phone confiscated by the officers, who then threatened to file false allegations against her as a tactic to extort money.
Despite these difficulties, Ducky Bhai expressed that this experience has made him more aware of his responsibilities and the impact digital content creators can have. He conveyed gratitude to his followers and reaffirmed his intention to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation until it concludes.
He remains confident in the judicial process, committing to abide by the court’s decisions and continue engaging constructively with legal procedures.
