David R. Griswold, 40, was taken into custody and faces several serious charges. The situation began when a guest alerted police, describing a distressing scene involving a young woman in apparent trouble.
Law enforcement officers from the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Police, along with support from the Connecticut State Police and Ledyard Police Department, responded promptly. The tense standoff lasted approximately six hours before Griswold was apprehended by SWAT teams.
Hostage Situation and Aftermath
The suspect reportedly restrained two individuals but released them quickly, with no significant injuries reported among them. Apart from these hostages, no other victims have been identified.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
