Boyle Sports Renews Sponsorship Agreement with Galway Races

Boyle Sports has announced an extension of its partnership with the renowned Galway Races, one of Ireland’s leading horse racing festivals. Under this renewed deal, the Irish sportsbook will continue to be the title sponsor for the Saturday events at the festival.

Details of the Sponsorship Extension

According to the announcement, Boyle Sports will sponsor the Saturday feature race for an additional three years. This includes the branding for the prestigious day six highlight, now named the Boyle Sports Handicap Hurdle, carrying a prize fund of $128,000.

Furthermore, Boyle Sports will continue to sponsor the Boyle Sports Maiden Hurdle, which has a prize of $20,000. The Galway Tribes Hurdle, traditionally held on Friday with a $93,000 prize, will be moved to Saturday and will also fall under Boyle Sports’ title sponsorship, increasing the company’s exposure.

Boyle Sports expressed excitement about this added race on Saturday, as it offers enhanced visibility to horse racing fans and a broader audience of potential customers.

Mutual Benefits of the Partnership

Representatives from both Boyle Sports and Galway Races have welcomed the partnership renewal, highlighting its advantages. Liam McKee, Boyle Sports’ head of sponsorship, described the deal as a step towards future growth and innovation for the company, especially as it aligns with their recent major brand relaunch.

“Renewing our partnership during this exciting rebranding phase makes this year’s agreement particularly meaningful,” said Liam McKee.

Michael Moloney, CEO of Galway Races, also commented positively on the arrangement, noting that the scheduling changes benefit the horses competing by providing additional chances to race and enhance the overall event quality.

“The rescheduling offers horses that miss the Thursday feature an important alternative to compete, boosting the week’s racing excitement,” said Michael Moloney.

Boyle Sports’ Ambitions for Expansion

This partnership extension with Galway Races follows shortly after Boyle Sports became the main sponsor for the West Ham United and West Ham United Women soccer teams. This move marks an important milestone for the independent bookmaker, reflecting its ongoing ambitions to grow its presence across Ireland, the UK, and beyond.

Currently operating 27 high street outlets throughout the UK, Boyle Sports aims to continue expanding its network with numerous new locations planned for the future.
