Cadence Crossing Casino Opening in Henderson

Boyd Gaming has officially announced the opening of its newest casino, Cadence Crossing, located in Henderson, Nevada. The casino will welcome visitors starting at noon on Wednesday, March 25.

Gaming and Amenities at Launch

Situated at 920 N. Boulder Highway next to the longstanding Jokers Wild casino, Cadence Crossing will begin with a special preview event featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony and guided tours for invited guests, followed by opening to the general public.

Designed as a neighborhood-focused casino, Cadence Crossing targets residents in the fast-expanding Cadence community in east Henderson, which is part of a master-planned area noted for its high new home sales nationwide in 2025.

The casino will feature over 450 slot machines alongside two dining establishments, a central bar, and a comfortable lounge area. Unlike larger resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, Cadence Crossing will not offer table games at its initial opening, focusing instead on a more intimate local gaming experience with food and beverage options geared toward nearby residents.

Future Plans and Jokers Wild Transition

Cadence Crossing will eventually replace the adjacent Jokers Wild casino, a venue with a rich history in Henderson that originally opened as the Cattle Baron. Boyd Gaming has kept Jokers Wild operational during Cadence Crossing’s construction, but plans to demolish the older casino once the new property is fully operational.

Clearing the Jokers Wild site will create opportunities for further development in the future, including the possibility of adding extra amenities or even a hotel.

Boyd Gaming’s Recent Development History

This project marks Boyd Gaming’s first new casino development in Southern Nevada in many years. Their previous major venture in Las Vegas was the Stardust on the Strip, which was sold in 2013 to Malaysia-based Genting Group. Genting later redeveloped the site into Resorts World Las Vegas, which opened in 2021.
