Attempted Robbery at Little Creek Casino Resort

Recently, an armed individual attempted to rob the Little Creek Casino Resort, located in Shelton, Washington. Fortunately, the robbery was unsuccessful when the employee informed the suspect that the cash drawer was empty, prompting him to flee the scene without obtaining any money.

Details of the Suspect and Incident

The incident occurred on a Saturday when the suspect entered the casino cage area and revealed a handgun, demanding cash. Despite the threat, no money was handed over. Authorities believe the suspect escaped on foot, heading toward Highway 101 and then onto an overpass before disappearing from view.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office described the suspect as a Hispanic male between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall with a slim build. At the time, he was wearing a dark or gray flannel shirt, pants, dark boots, a light gray hat displaying a white logo, sunglasses, and a single plastic glove on one hand while carrying a pistol.

Law enforcement has urged anyone with information about the suspect to contact emergency services immediately.

Possible Connection to Other Recent Crimes

Some members of the public and observers have suggested that this individual may be linked to a series of recent crimes in the region. Approximately one week prior, a man bearing a strong resemblance attempted a similar robbery at the Silver Reef Casino in Ferndale, using almost the same approach by targeting the casino cage with a handgun.

Additionally, there are claims connecting the suspect to the theft of hydraulic rescue equipment, commonly known as “jaws of life” or spreaders, stolen from firefighters in Centralia. Commenters noted that the thief in that incident wore a hat similar to the one seen in the Little Creek incident and also used a gloved hand.
