Atlantic City Casinos Unite for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Atlantic City Casinos Join Forces to Support Breast Cancer Awareness
This October, Atlantic City casinos are coming together to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month through a variety of initiatives. The venues will host fundraising events, provide mobile mammography screenings for their staff, and actively participate in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Walk.
Commitment to a Vital Cause
The collective efforts focus on promoting early detection, education, and support for women impacted by breast cancer. Mark Giannantonio, president of the Casino Association of New Jersey, emphasized the importance of this annual campaign. He noted that breast cancer affects many and that advancements in medical research, funded by such efforts, have improved treatments and survival rates. The awareness activities play a crucial role in saving lives, and the casino community is proud to contribute.
Casinos Illuminate Atlantic City with Pink Lights
Throughout October, visitors will see Atlantic City’s casinos glowing in pink to symbolize support for breast cancer awareness. Bally’s Atlantic City will feature pink-themed beverages and desserts at various eateries, with a percentage of sales benefiting breast cancer charities. The casino will also highlight pink lighting at its Pacific Avenue entrance and on the sixth floor.
Borgata will offer an assortment of pink-inspired cocktails and drinks, donating $10,000 to the American Cancer Society’s Men Wear Pink initiative, alongside mobile mammography screenings for their employees.
Properties under Caesars Entertainment, such as Tropicana, Caesars, and Harrah’s Resort, will enhance their exteriors with pink lighting and decorations. These locations will support the cause through specialty cocktails, donations, and by rounding up customer bills. Caesars and Harrah’s team leaders are also participating in the Real Men Wear Pink campaign by organizing events including t-shirt sales, dunk tanks, and prize draws.
Golden Nugget Atlantic City will introduce a Pink Warrior cocktail, allocating one dollar from each sale to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Their staff will also engage in the Men Wear Pink campaign to raise awareness and funds.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City celebrates the 25th year of its PINKTOBER program by adorning the property in pink, hosting themed fundraisers, and presenting special cocktails and spa services. Funds raised benefit Wigs & Wishes, a program dedicated to providing wigs and fulfilling wishes for cancer patients.
Ocean Casino Resort will offer the Pink Paloma cocktail, donating part of the proceeds, sponsor the Making Strides event in Ocean City, and support volunteer initiatives and a pink tribute banner. Resorts Casino Hotel is also running a Men Wear Pink campaign with activities such as the Pink Cash Dash, special drinks, and collecting slot machine ticket vouchers for donations to the American Cancer Society.
