Aristocrat Announces New Leadership Roles in Interactive and Corporate Affairs Divisions

Leadership Changes at Aristocrat Interactive and Corporate Affairs
Aristocrat Leisure Limited, a leading Australian manufacturer of gambling machines, has announced significant leadership changes within its Aristocrat Interactive division and its Group Corporate Affairs & Marketing department. These changes feature a new CEO for Aristocrat Interactive as well as a newly appointed chief officer for corporate affairs and marketing.
New CEO Takes Charge of Aristocrat Interactive
Dylan Slaney has been appointed as the new CEO of Aristocrat Interactive, set to officially assume his role on November 3. He will succeed Moti Malul, who is scheduled to depart the company in March 2026. Malul will continue working with Aristocrat for a few months to ensure a seamless transition.
Slaney was selected following an extensive global recruitment process. He boasts over ten years of international leadership experience in the gaming industry, having previously served as CEO of Light & Wonder’s iGaming business and held executive roles at companies including NYX, SG Digital, and dunnhumby.
His strong background in operational excellence and driving transformative growth made him an ideal fit for this position. Slaney will be based in London to lead the division from there.
Barry French Appointed as Chief Corporate Affairs & Marketing Officer
In addition to the changes in the interactive division, Aristocrat has named Barry French as the new chief corporate affairs and marketing officer, effective immediately. He will replace Natalie Toohey, who is stepping down after nearly seven years in the role. Toohey will assist in ensuring a smooth handover to French.
French brings approximately 35 years of leadership expertise across various industries. Before joining Aristocrat, he worked as chief marketing and telecommunications officer at Inmarsat and previously held a similar position at Nokia.
He will be based in Las Vegas as he undertakes his new responsibilities.
Executive Leadership Support and Future Outlook
Both Dylan Slaney and Barry French will report directly to Trevor Croker, the CEO and managing director of Aristocrat Group. Additionally, the two will become members of the company’s Executive Steering Committee.
Croker expressed enthusiasm about the new appointments, highlighting that their leadership will help accelerate Aristocrat’s strategic goals. He emphasized the customer-focused and collaborative nature of both leaders, praising their alignment with the company’s values.
He also acknowledged the valuable contributions of the outgoing executives, Moti Malul and Natalie Toohey, thanking them for their dedicated service.
