Bird, Storm Hold Off Lynx

(Sports Network) - Sue Bird scored 22 points, and the Seattle Storm fought off a late rally to top the Minnesota Lynx, 76-73 at Target Center.

Swin Cash posted a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Storm, winners in eight of their last nine games. Camille Little chipped in 17 points and seven boards, while Tanisha Wright added 12 points.

Charde Houston netted 16 points to pace the Lynx, who have dropped four of six overall. Candice Wiggins added 14 points, while Seimone Augustus scored 10.

Minnesota trailed by nine after three quarters and rallied to close the gap in the fourth, but Seattle held the Lynx to 35.1 percent shooting for the game to preserve the win.
