Sacramento Hangs On To Top Detroit

Detroit, MI -- (Sports Network) - Rebekkah Brunson had 18 points and seven rebounds to lead the Sacramento Monarchs over the Detroit Shock, 88-85.

It marked the first time this season Detroit had suffered a home defeat. The Shock had been unblemished in 10 home contests before Sunday's loss.

Ticha Penicheiro added 17 points for the Monarchs, while Kara Lawson and Crystal Kelly contributed 12 points apiece to push Sacramento above the .500 mark at 12-11.

Deanna Nolan led the Shock with 27 points, while Cheryl Ford added 18 points and 10 rebounds.
