Connecticut Beats Sky To End Skid

(Sports Network) - Ashja Jones' game-high 23 points and 10 rebounds led the Connecticut Sun to a 74-67 victory over the Chicago Sky.

Lindsay Whalen narrowly missed a double-double of her own with 20 points and eight rebounds to go with a game-high six assists as Connecticut snapped a five-game losing streak.

The expansion Sky lost for the sixth time in its last eight games despite five players scoring in double digits. Armintie Price led Chicago with 15 points off the bench while Chasity Melvin scored 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Jia Perkins, Candice Dupree and Quianna Chaney also reached double figures with 14, 13 and 10 points, respectively. Dupree's included nine boards.

The teams will meet again Tuesday in Chicago.
