POSTED: 11:37 pm EDT July 19, 2008

(Sports Network) - Michelle Snow scored 20 points and hauled in eight rebounds to lead Houston to a 75-72 overtime win over the Los Angeles Sparks.

Tamecka Dixon added 17 points, while Hamchetou Maiga chipped in 13 points for the Comets, who have won two in a row. Sancho Lyttle had nine boards to go with seven points off the bench.

Candace Parker and Lisa Leslie each scored 16 points to lead the Sparks, who have lost two straight. The tandem combined for 16 rebounds, while Marie Ferdinand-Harris had 15 points in a losing effort.

After Los Angeles outscored Houston 19-12 in the fourth quarter to force overtime, the Comets held on to control the extra session. Snow made a pair of free throws with 20 ticks left to make it a 73-69 game. After Shannon Bobbitt drained a three-pointer, Dixon drained a pair from the line to restore a three-point edge for Houston, and Parker missed on a three at the buzzer.
