Mystics Acquire Forward, First-Rounder From Sparks

(Sports Network) - The Washington Mystics have traded forward DeLisha Milton-Jones to the Los Angeles Sparks in exchange for Taj McWilliams- Franklin and a first-round pick in the 2009 WNBA draft.

McWilliams-Franklin, a six-time all-star, has averaged 12.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game throughout her nine-year career. Last season, the veteran averaged 11.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game for LA.

Milton-Jones, who helped Los Angeles win back-to-back championships in 2001-02, spent three seasons in Washington and averaged 13.4 points and 6.4 rebounds during an all-star campaign last season.
