CLEVELAND - A strong cold front will bring a line of scattered severe storms to the region on late Saturday into Sunday.
The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has placed all of Ohio in the slight risk category for severe storms Saturday afternoon through early Sunday morning.
We are monitoring the potential for storms late Saturday afternoon and evening to develop and move across parts of Northern Ohio. Storms will likely be ongoing Saturday morning farther to our west across Indiana and Illinois. The storms should grow and develop into several clusters during the afternoon as they move east along the front toward Ohio, into an area of favorable instability and moisture. Any of these storms could produce damaging winds and large hail as they move through.
The cold front will meander close to Northern & Central Ohio Saturday afternoon through Sunday. This will bring the potential for another round of thunderstorms to the region Sunday afternoon.
Those of you with outdoor activities should monitor the latest forecasts and stay connected with us through the weekend via Facebook, Twitter and our Storm Shield App in the event of severe weather.
