NORWALK, Ohio - High winds and heavy rains downed trees and caused a roof to collapse as storms moved through northeast Ohio overnight.
Wind gusts near 60 mph were reported across the area.
In Norwalk, in Huron County, a building on Prospect Street collapsed. Police said at 5 a.m. that no one was injured.
The storage building, located one block north of Main Street, was home to a tree service company. A chipper truck inside the building now has part of the roof resting on top of it.
There are several reports of trees down, power outages and roads blocked in the area. Police said that all Norwalk school were closed for Friday.
There was no immediate word on when power would be restored.
A tree just missed the Par Court home of Patty Roesch. "I wanted all my leaves to come down at once, but I didn't mean this way," she said.
