June temperatures should finish above average for Northern Ohio.

The strong El Nino from last Winter has mostly faded away and the transition to the cooler La Nina is beginning.

History tells us that, after a strong El Nino ends, we can expect some very warm summer weather.

June begins the first month of Meteorological Summer, and Mother Nature is planning on keeping our temperatures up, for the most part, this month.

After a brief trip below average early next week, temperatures should quickly rebound back to above normal by next weekend.

Here's how computer model guidance is seeing the Month of June (BELOW). Notice the warm orange temperature anomalies over Ohio.

My thinking is June will end up a degree or two above average for Northern Ohio in 2016.

Enjoy the warmth!
