Notice the green colors across Ohio and surrounding states. Ohio and surrounding states are expected to see temperatures average 3-7 degrees BELOW normal between now and Aug. 9. Cooler than normal temperatures are forecast from the slopes of the Rocky Mountains all the way to the East Coast. Expect high temperatures for northern Ohio to hover in the 70s thru the period with an occasional temperature near 80 degrees. Overnight lows will fall mostly in the 50s. Not terrible. But certainly not the heat and humidity you expect in late July and early August.
The cool weather should yield to warmer temperatures to end the month and an increase in hurricane activity along the East Coast into September. More on that later...
