CLEVELAND - As a bubble of arctic air plows into northern Ohio this week, most of us can expect the coldest air in about 4 years.
Our forecast high for Tuesday is 12 degrees. If we reach that, it'll be the coldest high temperature in Cleveland since we topped out at a beyond frigid 2 degrees way back on Jan. 16, 2009.
On the day, our low dropped to a whopping -13 degrees, only 7 off of our all-time record low of -20 set back in 1994.
While I'm not expecting widespread below zero readings, some spots away from the lake could easily wake up Tuesday and Wednesday mornings with below zero temperatures.
We've had several days where highs have been in the mid and upper teens. The last time we had consecutive days with highs in the teens in Cleveland was about two years ago, in January 2011.
